Fueled by a passion for Music and the Arts, Jimmy Davis began his journey down the road to becoming a well-rounded musical talent and artist at a young age. Jimmy honed his natural talent and built up his musical background while performing in various choirs, musical productions, and various bands. At the age of 19, Jimmy became the Seasonal Choir and Children’s Choir Director at his hometown parish in Tolleson, AZ, and within two years became the Director of the entire music ministry program. Jimmy’s professional music career has only grown from there. Serving the community of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Glendale since 2008 as Assistant Music Director and Music Teacher, upon leaving OLPH School in 2021, he returned to The Learning Institute Charter High School as Music Teacher, Jimmy has also previously worked as a Teaching Artist for the Phoenix Conservatory of Music.
Working as a musician and teaching artist, Jimmy strives to spread the healing and saving gifts of music and the arts to others in all areas of life. While he continues to direct choirs, spread the gift of music through voice and piano lessons, host karaoke nights and DJ at local venues, perform wherever he is called, Jimmy actively works to expand his knowledge and abilities by pursuing continuing education. Not forgetting the giving and altruistic nature of music, Jimmy also makes time to direct a volunteer community choir that performs at fundraisers, rallies, holiday festivals, and solemn religious services.
In addition, Jimmy serves on the Tolleson City Council where one of his focuses has been bringing arts and culture to the City of Tolleson through the TIA (Tolleson Initiative of the Arts). Jimmy also serves on the Board of Directors for the West Valley Arts Council whose primary mission is to bring arts to the Southwest Valley. Whether it is through his work as a musician, music teacher, theater director, or his work in the public sector Jimmy has made it his mission in life to spread the gifts of music and the arts to the west valley particularly Tolleson.
